TITLE: XML Schema Developer
START DATE: ASAP
TYPE: CONTRACT
DURATION: 1 YEAR, STRONG POSSIBILITY OF 2ND, POSSIBLE 3RD
PAY RATE: $65 TO $80 PER HOUR
MUST BE US CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT
MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
LOCATION: WASHINGTON, DC

Job Description:

Performs design, development, validation, testing, and web
publishing of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) Enterprise XML
Data Dictionary (XDD).

Provides training support to DHS ICE user community on why,
where and how to access this product.

Develops and maintains the DHS ICE XML Schema Standards.

Establishes a standard process for development and configuration
management of ICE Enterprise XDD.

Performs validation of new DHS ICE XML Schemas developed by
various systems within the agency for conformance to the ICE
Enterprise XDD.

Provides support with extension of National Interchange Exchange
Model (NIEM) with DHS ICE data requirements.

Position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain
a Secret level clearance.

Education:
BS in Computer Sciences or related field (or equivalent)

Required Skills:
Minimum of 10 years IT experience.
Minimum of 3 years XML Schema and PL/SQL development experience.
Full knowledge of W3C XML Standards.
Familiar with usage of an XML Schema development tool, preferably XML Spy.
Very experienced with standard systems development methodologies and system
development life cycles.
Some experience in data modeling.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM) and its associated tools
namely Wayferer and Subschema generators, Oracle Designer/2000, XML Spy.
