Systel Inc. is an IT Project Management and Consulting firm, based at
Atlanta, GA, providing Services to Clients nationwide. We are in need
of an Accounting Assistant for an immediate start.
Job Description::
As the Accounting Assistant you will be responsible for assisting with
accounts receivable functions, weekly billing of clients, esponding to
internal and external billing inquiries, accounts payable processing,
expense report receipt verification, petty cash, procurement program
and cash disbursement reconciliation.
Assists with month end close, journal entries, and physical inventory.
Calls on past due receivables.
In addition candidate will also be responsible for performing data
entry and miscellaneous clerical duties.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and handle multiple
tasks.
Experience working in an accounting/administrative department.
PC Skills: General working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Internet,
and e-mail.
The right individual will be able to multi-task, work independently and
help maintain the front office while being responsible for answering
phones and greeting clients and customers.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel are a plus.
EDUCATION:
Associate's degree in accounting or business (with accounting emphasis)
required.
EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires a minimum of two to five years of accounting
experience.
SKILL IN:
Skilled in math application. Detail oriented. Good interpersonal
skills.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
None Needed, CPA desirable
