Position: Application Security Specialist
Location: Toronto
Contract: 5 Months

Requires 7+ years experience in architectural function with current focus on application and data security architecture of large-scale systems.
Must have architected web / application security for Java based platform
Expertise in Web Services, Web Services security, Web services architecture, basic networking
Familiar with current approaches to application and data security as well as traditional access control techniques.
Intrusion Detection and Prevention technologies
Understanding of operating system hardening, vulnerability assessments, and technical security compliance evaluations

Perform risk assessments for new projects and the associated infrastructure and applications; periodically perform risk assessments of the existing infrastructure and applications. Assess effectiveness of internal controls (both information security and IT in general).
