1) Good communicator.

High
2) C++ expertise
3) Unix knowledge in general
4) Any type of scripting (perl, ruby, tcl, java, python and perl
probably would be the most useful)

Lesser
5) Javascripting would be a bonus
6) Tcl\tk, Ruby Rails, or Python GUI experience
7) If they’ve done web apps in java that would be good too.
