Exceptional opportunity with a major agricultural related entity seeking to
expand its level of support and leadership in the Human Resource function.
Position: Director of Human Resources reports to the Chief Financial
Officer.
Position Responsibilities: The Director of Human Resources is accountable
for supporting management in developing, implementing, and administering all
necessary personnel policies and programs. Specifically, these
responsibilities include:
1.. Manage Human Resources Department.
2.. Work with management to identify organization and personnel needs.
3.. Recruiting and hiring of personnel, including a search capability.
4.. Candidate testing and evaluation programs.
5.. Development and training programs.
6.. Career pathing programs.
7.. Maintain current organization charts, staffing projections, and
position descriptions. Work with Division Managers for staffing
projections.
8.. Assist management in evaluating and effectively resolving employee
situations.
9.. Managed benefit and insurance programs.
10.. Labor relations.
11.. Maintain a current level of knowledge and understanding of all
government regulations which affect the personnel policies and programs of
the Company. Ensure Company is in compliance.
12.. Workers compensation, safety and training administration, and
unemployment insurance administration.
13.. Special projects, such as salary surveys and employee education.
Experience and Skills:
1.. A Human Resources generalist, rather than a specialist in one area.
2.. Seven to ten years of relevant experience.
3.. At least a Bachelors degree. Advanced degrees are a plus.
4.. Current knowledge of the latest techniques and trends in Human
Resources.
5.. Skills and experience in training and development.
6.. Ability to establish and lead a Human Resources management program.
