BASIC FUNCTION

Direct responsibility for overseeing and monitoring operational accounting
functions, including assisting in and supervising the month-end closing of
all financial reporting systems, as well as Ad Hoc reporting on an as needed
basis.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The incumbent will report to the local Administration Manager with a dotted
line report to the out-of-state Corporate Controller. The incumbent should
have a sound working relationship with the staff and management within the
corporate and field offices.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Direct and maintain the operational accounting aspects of the
following functions:

· Accounts Payable

· Accounts Receivable

· Fixed Assets

· General Ledger and Financial Reporting

· Payroll

2. Monitors compliance with accounting procedures and work with
District and Area management and field clerks to improve compliance when it
is determined to be below expectations. Responsibilities include analyzing
and resolving process exceptions.

3. Responsible for managing administrative improvements as measured by
a performance scorecard, and reporting results to Corporate Accounting staff
once per quarter for each of the divisions within the scope of
responsibility.

4. Conducts a detailed analysis of the Income Statement for the
Divisions assigned and produces variance analysis. Consults with the Area
Managers to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of the Income
Statement and are capable of reviewing the Income Statement and identifying
and analyzing variances.

5. Coordinates all accounting issues and matters between the Corporate
office and the field.

6. Review accounting controls and processes in the field to ensure
they are functioning in accordance with company policies and procedures,
suggest improvements and facilitate and support the implementation of
changes.

7. Liaison between field operations and central processing departments
to improve administrative performance.

8. Prepare/review monthly journal vouchers and oversees the monthly
close process.

9. Prepare/review monthly management reports including the monthly
financial package, operating manual, AFE reporting, Cash Report, and the
review of supporting schedules.

10. Provide accurate and timely financial statements to management.
Ensure that the transactions are recorded according to generally accepted
accounting principles and Company procedures.

11. Gain a complete understanding of the Company's electronic data
processing systems, including Fixed Assets, Payroll, Invoicing and
Procurement systems.

12. Motivate staff to achieve Company and departmental goals and
objectives and provides training to field administrative staff where
necessary.

13. Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be
required at the direction of the Operations Accounting Supervisor or
Controller.

14. (Light Work) Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up
to 10 pounds of force frequently, and negligible amounts of force
constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for
sedentary work.
