The Senior Performance Engineer is a key position within the COMPANY
Development organization. This role will be responsible for performance
across the suite of COMPANY products including online performance testing,
batch performance testing, Application tuning and benchmarks (internal and
customer focused). This role will also be responsible for training,
managing and bringing consistency to our Manila Development Center on
performance testing and tuning.

Key Responsibilities:


a.. Work with Development and Strategy team to identify application
transaction for performance and scalability testing
b.. Hiring, training and providing work direction for Manila based
performance engineering team
c.. Conduct performance, scalability and reliability testing on the
COMPANY suite of products
d.. Analyze testing results and work with development teams to solve
issues
e.. Build automated performance suites for performance regression testing.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Required:


a.. University degree or equivalent experience is required
b.. Excellent DBA and tuning skills in two or more of the following RDBMS
(Oracle, DB2/UDB, Microsoft SQL Server)
c.. Java tuning experience
d.. 5+ years experience in tuning and testing on-line Web applications
with tools such as Mercury LoadRunner or Segue Performer.
e.. 5+ years experience in web application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere,
Tomcat) administration, configuration and tuning
f.. Strong system administration skills across a variety of Operating
Systems (AIX, HP UX, Linux and Windows)
g.. Technical troubleshooting abilities in a complex multi-tier
architecture
h.. Ability to work closely with multiple engineering disciplines to debug
and fix build issues
