Due to our continued growth and success in the marketplace, we have an
exciting new opportunity for a Property Claims Supervisor with Ontario
Property Claims.

Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall organization
and supervision in the Ontario Property team (direct reports included,
but not limited to Field Adjusters, Examiners and Claims Advisors),
including the direction and evaluation of staff. Supervise claims
handling in accordance with corporate/regional policies and
procedures.

Responsibilities: What would I do on the job?

· Ensure timely file disposition, evaluate and maintain quality of
files and accuracy of reserves
· Control indemnity and expense spend
· Manage and Supervise overall file handling process as per Claims
Procedure Manual
· Assist Claims Manager with preparation and analysis of management
reports
· Conduct Self Review Audits of files within the unit
· Provide leadership, coaching and development of staff including
performance reviews
· Establish and monitor performance targets to meet operations goals
and objectives and provide monthly results to staff
· Manage team for continuous improvements, consistency and best
practices
· Conduct regular audits, provide coaching and encourage ongoing
training
· Leverage reward and recognition programs to drive strong results
· Provide feedback and support to Manager as required

Experience / Skills Required: Do I have what it takes?

· 8-10 years progressive claims experience
· Demonstrated leadership and successful track record with excellent
communication skills (oral and written), organizational, change
management and team-building skills
· Solid understanding of technical components of property claims
handling
· Proven customer service focus – claims handling
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
