OPPORTUNITY

Spano Pratt is seeking a mid- to senior-level Unix administration professional for a full-time opportunity with one of its employers of choice in Milwaukee.


REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* 2 years or more of design and implementation of SAN for Unix and Windows
* Techncial expert with HP-UX using Compaq/HP hardware--servers, clusters and SAN environment
* Know storage industry initiatives and standards
* Set up SAN and have experience with NAS, SRM, backup & recovery, disaster recovery and business continuance.
* Inter-process communication (IPC)
* File system concepts, including NFS, journaled file systems, disk striping and disk mirroring; analyze I/O performance
* Performance analysis and system tuning
* Clustered Linux systems / Distributed computing
* Set up automated monitoring / diagnostics

DESIRED SKILLS

* Advanced Server experience with SAN
* HP/Compaq Legato and/or HP StorageWorks experience
