Description: Job Title Ism-Small Mill Job ID Number 09-3005 Company Electric Boat Location Groton, CT Job Category Aerospace/Aviation/Defense Job Description For D. Bourque. Setup and machining of components on vertical machining center with CNC control. Precision measurement of parts. Completion of hard copy and electronic documentation. Ability to read and interpret mechanical detail and assembly drawings, including GD&T, weld joint symbology, and NDT requirements. Proficiency in use of precision measuring tools. Computer literacy. Proficiency in shop mathematics and G-code and M-code program data. Knowledge of CNC milling/drilling operations. No specific requirements. Requires a minimum of five (5) years in setup and operation of CNC Vertical Machining Centers. Hurco CNC control experience desirable. Should have experience in machining HY-steels, stainless steels, cobalt-based and nickel-based alloys, titanium, monels, and bronzes. Must be able to use hand tools and portable power tools.
