EDUCATION The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associates degree or equivalent experience. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS - HP Certified Professional is desired - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Microsoft Windows 2000 is desired REQUIRED SKILLS - Build and support test environments (workstations, servers, mainframe components SMS, etc.) according to documented procedures - Restore service for disabled computing infrastructure components - Perform server Maintenance on Aetna server equipment, may include installation of service packs, and upgrades when necessary, monitors tape backup process, and performs data restores when necessary - Perform ongoing system maintenance, research, and support - Hardware Installation and Support - Activate, check out, monitor, shut down and recover (or assist others) all platforms, applications and databases DESIRED SKILLS - Change Control - Infoplex - Veritas NetBackup - Symantec Ghost - SQL Server - Plan and coordinate data backup and recovery across all platforms POSITION SUMMARY Deliver efficient and reliable LAN Center Operational services in accordance with published performance metrics and SLAs. Ensure that appropriate operational standards for hardware, software, and processes are established and maintained. Implement new technologies, in concert with engineering organization, to support and enhance operations and the distributed infrastructure ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION Some overtime maybe required. On-call coverage for weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Work schedule may vary. On-site position, no WAH.
