Cognos Developer

Duration: 1 year
Description: Under general direction, participates in the
development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications.
Under supervision of a project leader, works with clients to identify
user requirements, assesses available technologies, and recommends
solution options. Evaluates objectives for the assigned project and
recommends strategies to achieve business needs.
Skills: - Strong experience gathering and documenting business user
requirements.
- Cognos server installation and configuration.
- Technically proficient in Cognos Business Intelligence tools
including:
Cognos 8 Administration, Cognos Connection, Report Studio, Analysis
Studio, Query Studio, Event Studio
- Cognos 7 Impromptu, ReportNet, PowerPlay and Access Manager.
- Knowledgeable in Cognos administration and system performance
monitoring.
- Prior experience supporting > 1000 person user base via face to face
and telephone end user support.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and team work skills required
