Dell's been pulling sleazy schitt for a long time. They cut deals with
hardware OEMs that did not meet the EISA (Extemded Industrial Standard).
For a long time, maybe still, they required a custom built power supply;
a replacement costs 300$ while the ISA unit is 15$.
