Position Summary

As a Physical Implementation Design Engineer you will be involved in
physical synthesis, constraint development, and semi-custom physical layout.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

a.. Generating Verilog net list from RTL.
b.. Generating block level and top level chip constraints from a
functional spec.
c.. Performing Static Timing Analysis (STA) at the chip level.
d.. Hierarchical floor planning.
e.. IR drop analysis.
f.. Hierarchical physical layout to include clock tree design and
distribution.
g.. Hierarchical timing closure to include fixing setup and hold
violations.
h.. Signal Integrity analysis.
i.. Physical verification.
Requirements

a.. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with 10 years experience or
a Masters degree with 7 years experience.
b.. Minimum of 5 years experience in Physical Implementation.
c.. Experience with Synopsys IC design tools, such as JupiterXT, Physical
Compiler, Astro, PrimeTime, and custom layout tools such as Laker and/or
Virtuoso.
d.. Knowledge of Verilog or VHDL, Design Compiler, Simplex or similar
tools.
e.. Experience with DRC/ LVS tools such as Dracula, Calibre, and/ or
Hercules.
f.. Good documentation and presentation skills.
g.. Experience with SOC design flow.
h.. The ability to work with software, hardware, and verification
engineers.
i.. Possess the ability to collaborate with technical peers, with an
interest in playing a variety of roles on a team to include team leader.
