Desktop Engineer (Retail Point of Sale)

TekSource Canada is currently seeking a Desktop Engineer for our Retail Point of Sale system. This is a 60 working day contract opportunity.
Eligible candidates MUST have valid security clearance and their own laptop.

Job Duties:
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Review and understand the current proposed design for the RPOS
- Develop OS level configurations for single, dual and multi-wicket designs to conform to security best practices
- Develop software configuration for single, dual and multi-wicket designs
- Develop software deployment process for single, dual and multi-wicket designs
- Incorporate supplied Anti-Virus and Patch-Management solution into the single, dual and multi-wicket designs

Mandatory Skills:
- Excellent design engineering skills and experience in desktop system design
- An excellent understanding of desktop security best practices
- An excellent understanding of desktop support systems and best practices including Anti-Virus and Patch management
- An excellent understanding and experience with software deployment systems for distributed desktops

Nice to have (non-Mandatory) requirement:
- An excellent understanding and experience with Retail Point-of-Service (POS) systems
