Post subject: Help Desk Specialist Level 1

Start date: December 02, 2008 to March 31, 2009 with possible extension.



Language Requirement: Bilingual



Security Clearance: Some positions require Reliability Status and some
positions require Secret Status.



Mandatory Requirements:

a.. Experience as an IT Support Technician
b.. Experience providing IT user support in Microsoft Windows XP and/or
Microsoft Windows 2000 Operating systems.
c.. Experience providing IT user support in a Novell Netware LAN
environment
d.. Experience providing IT user application support in the following:
Corel WordPerfect version 10 or later, Microsoft Outlook version 2000 or
later, MS Office version 2000 or later, Lotus SmartSuite, Internet Explorer
version 6.0 or later
e.. Experience responding efficiently, effectively and troubleshooting IT
user problems and service requests received by telephone and/or onsite
f.. Experience supporting remote access software
g.. Experience providing IT user support in English and French in a
bilingual client services working environment
h.. Experience in at least (2) of the following:
a.. Experience providing support in Novell Netware 5.0 or above LAN
environment
b.. Knowledge of Novell utilities: Console One, NW Admin, Remote
Control, Zen for Desktops
c.. Experience recording end user incident/problem requests using
tracking systems
d.. Experience supporting personal computer workstations and peripherals
(printers, blackberries, scanners, monitors)
