QA Java Developer

We are currently seeking a QA/Java Developer.

Education/Experience Requirements:

* 3+ years experience with server side Java development (primarily
J2SE applications) in a collaborative environment * 4+ years
experience working with multiple operating systems (Unix, Linux,
Windows) * 3+ years experience working with Relational SQL databases
(e.g. DB2, Oracle, MySQL) * High competency in JUnit unit testing *
High competency in SQL queries, updates, inserts * Strong experience
in defect analysis and production support * Ability to learn complex
business functions with little guidance * Self-motivated and able to
work independently * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
experience in lieu of formal education

Optional Experience:

* Agile development environments (e.g. Scrum, XP) * Spring Framework *
SOAP client applications * Test-driven development * CruiseControl for
automated continuous integration and testing * Clover for test
coverage analysis * Ruby on Rails, JRuby development * Unix/Linux-
based scripting languages

Essential Job Functions:

* Work in a highly collaborative team environment to deliver quality
functionality in short iterations * Work with analysts, business units
and developers to formalize acceptance criteria * Refactor legacy Java
code to enable better enable automated testing * Write JUnits and test
harnesses to improve overall automated test coverage * Quickly analyze
defects and production issues to identify root causes * Implement
defect repairs and feature enhancements as part of a standard
development cycle * Perform manual application testing and create
automation suites wherever possible
