~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Function Summary: <br> <br>Provide overall supervisory and
technical management on a construction project site.  Ensure
high client satisfaction and quality through planning,
coordination of construction activity.  Work closely with
Project Manager from planning to finish of project. <br>
<br>Essential functions: <br> <br>1.     Supervise
total construction project to ensure it follows design, budget
and schedule. <br> <br>2.     Administer on-site safety
program for employees and subcontractors. <br> <br>3.  
  Plan, coordinate, supervise and mentor site staff. <br>
<br>4.     Develop and manage project schedules. <br>
<br>5.     Implement and maintain high quality
standards through detailed planning and on-going assessment of
quality control methods and practices. <br> <br>6.    
Schedule and coordinate sub-contractor work and ensure
subcontractor contracts are followed. <br> <br>7.    
Provide technical assistance to subcontractors, owners,
architects and employees. <br> <br>8.     Assist
project management with developing and implementing project
procedures and standards. <br> <br>9.     Assist
project engineer staff with submittals for compliance with
contract requirements and coordinate interface with adjacent
materials. <br> <br>10.     Ensure all on-site staff
complies with project procedures and work rules.  Document
and report violations and recommend corrective action. <br>
<br>11.     Review change orders and analyze them for
potential cost reductions. <br> <br>12.     Approve all
cost expenditures, including purchase requisitions, equipment
rentals and vendor invoices, making sure they conform with
project budget. <br> <br>13.     Additional duties as
assigned. <br><br><br><B>Requirements: </b><br>Educational level
required: <br> <br>Four year degree in Construction Management or
Construction Engineering, or equivalent trade construction
experience <br> <br>Experience required: <br> <br>Five to fifteen
years if degreed; ten to fifteen years if tradesperson <br>
<br>Business/technical knowledge required: <br> <br>Construction
and accounting practices <br> <br>General business skills
required: <br> <br>Setting goals <br>Project management
<br>Budgeting concepts <br>Problem solving <br>Process
improvement <br>Customer orientation <br>Team orientation
<br>Detail orientation <br>Self-motivation <br>Verbal and written
communication <br>Delegation <br> <br> <br>Management skills
