Master Job Title: Vice President, Sales
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Client/Site: Corporate
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary: $150,000.00 plus commission
Location: Chicago, IL
Travel: 50-75%
Job Purpose:
Responsibility for developing and supporting the sales plan,
focusing on healthcare entities in assigned geographic regions.
Responsible for generating sales opportunities for the company's
business lines, leading direct sale activities at assigned client
sites, and generally enhancing and promoting the market presence.
Create sales leads as well as follow-up and close leads that
have been established through telemarketing activities and other
lead channels.
Experience:
1. Minimum 10 years experience in sales.
2. Minimum 5 years experience with healthcare IT.
3. Minimum 5 years experience with IT consulting.
4. Familiarity with vendor software systems and hardware
(McKesson, Siemens, Meditech, Cerner, Eclipsys, GE Medical
Systems and similar).
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to interface with and convey credibility to
senior-level executives (CEO, CFO, CIO, etc).
2. Persistence and tenacity to create and follow-up on sales
leads.
3. Ability to create and achieve sales goals and objectives.
4. Must understand key products, systems and vendors in the
healthcare IT industry.
5. Must be highly motivated and proactive with the ability to
work independently with minimal supervision in a team
environment.
6. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, both
written and verbal.
7. Must be able to work with both technical and non-technical
customers and staff.
8. Must be willing to maintain and increase technical skills as
needed.

1. Developing corporate and individual sales strategy, goals and
objectives.
2. Generating leads.

4. Client maintenance.
5. Review analysis of activities, costs, operations and forecast
data to determine progress toward goals and objectives.
6. Industry research, involvement, education.
7. Participate with colleagues on appointed client and company
projects.
