Inside Pre-Sales Engineer

Cistel Technology Inc. has an opportunity for an energetic Inside
Presales Engineer with one of our clients, in Ottawa. This is a
permanent opportunity.


Role and Responsibilities:

 As an Inside Presales Engineer you will work closely with assigned
sales personnel.
 The Inside SE is responsible for the technical aspects of the sale
during the entire sales cycle and may be involved with the client post
purchase.
 During the qualifying process, the Inside Presales Engineer will
confirm that products meet the prospect's requirements and will assist
sales in technical qualification.
 The engineer must be able to articulate and demonstrate security
solutions, and position products relative to competition.
 The engineer must also be able to verbally instruct the prospect about
the use of the products.

This position generally requires minimal travel throughout the United
States and Canada but may call for travel with little notice in certain
situations.


Mandatory Requirements:

 Must have a good working knowledge of Windows/2000 and Windows/XP.
 Must have a minimum of three years working knowledge of network and
operating system security or web application development experience.
 Must present a professional appearance and demeanor, and possess
strong interpersonal skills, strong telephone skills and etiquette and
be able to relate to a wide range of technical staff and managers.
 Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to
effectively participate in the sales cycle and to prepare deliverables.


Desired Requirements:

 UNIX experience is desirable.
 Web application security experience and/or network security
penetration testing experience is desirable.
