Intermediate/Senior Developer (exp in GL packages)

Our downtown client requires an

Intermediate/Senior Developer.(5+ years experience)

The position is support/ongoing development of a new system.

Knowledge of Microgen product set a definite asset.

Technical
- experience with Microgen Aptitude product desired
- experience with installation, configuration, development of third
party financial packages in a large environment.
- strong SQL programming skills with strong Oracle experience
- data model and data design experience
- proven experience in quickly understanding complex data models and
design extensions;

- experience working with normalized data warehouse and reporting
repositories
- experience in analysis, design and development in areas of:
- integration with source and downstream systems
- batch
- proven exp & interest in understanding business concepts,
particularly accounting packages (general ledger) & trading systems

General
- previous experience learning/enhancing purchased packages
- track record of quickly learning & applying new technologies
- experience in developing/supporting financial systems (general
ledger)
- experience in development of documentation, Technical Design Specs
- strong verbal, written communication - grasp & communicate complex
technical info to varied audiences as required (other developers,
Business Analysts/Testers, business reps)
- prefer experience in a Capital Markets shop; knowledge of trading
systems.
