Post subject: Invitation to participate in National Supply Chain Security Survey
Archived from groups: sg>jobs>offer (more info?)

Hello,

We have been requested by the Singapore Maritime Bureau to conduct a
survey for security in the supply chain and we are contacting
Manufacturers, Retailers, Wholesalers, Distributors and Freight
Forwarders in Singapore - both forward and reverse logistics
participants.

I would appreciate it if you could take ten minutes to participate. The
results are going to be used to shape government policy in this area.
The
details are below.

Please do not hesitate to contact me on 6222 5280 if you have any
queries.

Thanks and regards,
Edmund Lee, Secretariat
The Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society

You have been invited to participate in a survey.

The survey is titled:
"National Supply Chain Security Survey" and is an initiative of the
STET Maritime Bureau Pte Ltd.

----------------------------------------------
The Singapore inter government agency committee will be initiating a
National Supply Chain Security Guidelines to ensure the integrity and
security
of the supply chain in Singapore. These Guidelines will be consistent
with key
international supply chain security requirements.

As security of cargo shipments can only be achieved by looking at
supply chains in total, and not by focusing on individual component
in isolation, the security process must start with the safe and secure
packing of a shipment and include measures that deter or provide
alerts of any tampering to the shipment as it progressively moves
from point of packing to final point of deconsolidation.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore on behalf of the inter
government agency committee has appointed STET Maritime Bureau
as a consultant for the Supply Chain Security Guideline project and
to engage the industry to solicit feedback and critique on challenges
in adopting such security measures.

In view of its impact and importance to Singapore companies' brand
values and competitive advantage we invite your organisation and
members to participate in the Survey.

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes of your time, and we
would like to encourage you to fill it out as accurately as possible.
Additionally, all entries will go into a draw to win DVD players,
Anti-virus software, and other attractive prizes.

Survey closes 28th July, 2006.
