Job Description:
The data analyst will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality
of information within the system, and delivering this data in various
formats to various business units both within the company, as well as to
customers. Strict adherence to system design procedures, excellent
communication skills are a must. This position requires an individual to be
able to deal with complex situations and collaborate effectively with local
and remote personnel in order to provide fast and effective problem
resolutions.

Duties:
· Design normalized database schemas
· Build optimized SQL queries and other database code to extract information
from multiple databases
· Build attractive reports suitable for customer delivery
· Attend weekly staff meetings
· Establish time lines for project milestones, and provide timely feedback
to the Business Intelligence Project Manager
· Work with Technical Support, Quality Assurance, Operations, and the
Network Operations Center to provide accurate, timely feedback to customers
on related issues.
· Translate business requirements documents into Functional Specifications.
· Provide on-call support for BI-related issues (rotated weekly throughout
the group).
· Build Implementation documents for Quality Assurance and Operations.
· Utilize ticketing system, bug tracker, and CVS for software development
and maintenance.
· Provide Incident Reports for customer-facing problems.
· Provide training sessions and related documentation to customers.

Requirements:
· 3+ years work in a UNIX environment
· 5+ years in relational database systems - preferably PostgreSQL
· 5+ years in database programming (Perl and Java)
· 2+ years in web-based database application development
· Must be able to work in a distributed personnel environment

Reports To: Manager of Business Intelligence

Travel: Light (< 10%) - most to the United States.
