Junior Flash Developer
This is a full-time position at S4Potential, in Almonte, Ontario.

S4Potential creates interactive e-learning software for behavioural
wellness. Under the guidance of a psychologist, we combine
empirically sound psychological practices with cutting edge
technology, to deliver innovative learning programs.
Position
We're currently looking for a motivated and dynamic professional who
is passionate about their work, able to handle multiple deadlines, and
eager to be part of a fun, team-oriented environment. This
professional must have a desire to learn and grow, with a willingness
to move into new technologies. While we look for a complement of
skills to determine the best candidate, we know that a team-oriented
person will make the best fit for the position.
This position reports to the Technology Coordinator.
Salary $28-32K

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to participate in the
development of e-learning solutions delivered via the web and CD-ROM
using multimedia development technologies. This will involve:
- Working with Project Managers, Multimedia Developers, and Customers
to develop web sites and CDROM applications.
- Integrating text, graphic, sound and video assets into Macromedia
Flash.
- Performing graphic and sound-editing, and video clipping and
conversion.
- Acting as part of the QA line with a special attention to detail.
Secondary responsibilities include creating CD labels and inserts,
assembling product demos and creating Flash-based presentations among
other things.
Skills
Must have:
- Good knowledge of Macromedia Flash.
- Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
- Working knowledge of Sony ScreenBlast, SoundForge or similar
sound-editing package.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Working knowledge of Windows-based workstations.
Nice to have:
- Quality Assurance experience.
- Understanding of bug and source control systems.
- Understanding of development life cycle for web and CDROM
applications.
- Familiarity with storyboards and development of e-learning
materials.
- Experience with graphic design and layout.
Required Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A diploma/certificate in a multimedia discipline or related
experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Practical experience in a tech environment.
- Self-management skills; must be able to work independently, handle
multiple projects simultaneously and complete work within specified
deadlines.
- Professionalism, attention-to-detail and a positive,
customer-focused attitude are imperative.
