Our client is an information technology solutions company that
offers computer products and technical services designed to
accelerate its customers' return on technology investments. The
company maintains business alliances with Cisco, HP, EMC, Sun,
Compaq, IBM and StorageTek, as well as with key enterprise
software providers such as QAD, J.D. Edwards, i2 and Oracle.
In addition, they provide technology-financing solutions, offers
remote systems management services and operates a
state-of-the-art benchmark lab facility.
The Account Manager at our client is a pure sales job; one which
pays extremely well for success. As an Account Manager, you'll be
expected to sell the four main products areas that they offer;
computer equipment, leasing, equipment supply and consulting
services for hardware implementation, systems integration,
storage solutions, backup & recovery and network management.
It is the Account Manager's responsibility to find, qualify and
develop new accounts. The most successful Account Managers
understand all their solutions and offer as much as possible to
each account. Success also requires developing strong
relationships with their manufacturing partners and their local
and regional representatives.
Successful Account Managers also have a solid understanding of
technology including a variety of hardware and software
platforms. The ability to capitalize on an existing book of
business is a real plus.
Salary: 200K Annually

5+ years proven sales success in computer hardware sales, or in
systems integration
Proven success at cold calling into accounts
Understanding of computer hardware/software platforms
Aggressive, hungry approach to doing business, self starter
(especially in a remote territory)
Money motivated, confident
Strong sense of urgency
Understands solution selling
Ability to orchestrate resources in a team selling environment
Willing to entertain customers and vendor partners to develop
relationships
A solid understanding of leasing
Time management and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Business acumen to understand the whole picture and work the
details
Effective listening skills
Relationship selling experience
A Bachelor degree is preferred
Local territory experience and a book of business is a must
Must be willing to travel a minimum of 20%
