There is a company in Germantown Maryland, they do some kind of receivers
or something like that. In almost 5 years they keep running the same ad for
the same positions, updated weekly. What can you make of that ?
In almost 5 years they:
- either were not been able to find a candidate to accept the offer (despite
the ad running strong in the peak of recession)
- either people run away immediately after starting the job
- either the jobs are fakes they never reply to any candidate
- either they didn't figured out how to remove the ad from Dice in 5
years
Regardless which assumption is true, something is definitely wrong with that
company.
Similar, I had some time ago an interview with a company having government
subcontracts in robotic vehicles. The required skills were an almost 100%
match with my skills and knowledge. When in interview the lady said that
she forgot to set up the appointments with 2 persons I had to talk with
One scheduled a meeting at that time, the other ... just left minutes ago.
Maybe to save the day she grabbed another 3 persons, I talked with them for
about 10 minutes, nothing relevant about my skills, then I was promissed
another interview to meet the "missing" people. I waited and waited.
After almost a months I received an automatic standard response from
the system that "We are sorry, but we don't have any positions matchink
your skills"
The truth is that some companies are just shooting themself in the foot.
