This position requires the ability to apply sound electrical engineering
principles for the leadership of complex power electronics related projects.
The successful candidate will work with Engineering and Program Management
to define project technical requirements and then create development plans
which detail all aspects of the technical development effort. The successful
candidate must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and
program objectives, and must posses excellent written and verbal
communication skills. The ideal candidate should have proficiency within the
following technical areas:
.. Power conversion topologies both hard-switched and resonant
.. Device characteristics especially power electronics switching elements
such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, BJTs, Power diodes etc.
.. High frequency power magnetics design
.. High frequency PCB layout techniques
.. Thermal analysis
.. Analysis and synthesis of closed loop control strategies
.. Design techniques for Electro-Magnetic Compatibility
.. Schematic and Netlist creation using industry standard tools
.. Circuit simulations using Spice variants
.. Modeling and analysis using MATLAB, SABER or similar tools
.. Working knowledge of digital design and VHDL/Verilog helpful
.. System Architecture Design (i.e. analysis of requirements and synthesis of
solutions which integrate analog, digital, packaging/mechanical and software
techniques)

Required Education & Experience

Ph.D/M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 7{PLS} years
direct and demonstrated experience in Power & Analog Electronics Design and
Project Leadership preferably in the military electronics/avionics industry.
Exceptional candidates with a B.S. and 15{PLS} years directly related
experience will also be considered.
