DESCRIPTION:
My Boston area client has a fulltime requirement for a UI Architect. The
responsibilities of the job include: technical quality of the data services,
databases, and data aspects of the software; definition of data architectural
roadmap; definition/management of software data architecture; review of
software data designs and code; development of key data architectural
components; management of major software data technical issues;
mentoring/teaching development resources on technical and architectural data
concepts; supporting design and development activities; and the overall
management/definition of data standards, guidelines and processes for software
development.
The selected candidate should have the following: BS degree in computer science
or engineering; a minimum of 5 years of data architect experience; experience
in architecting and overseeing the development of enterprise software
solutions; the understanding of advanced software development methodologies and
concepts; experience with development environments and infrastructure;
experience with full product lifecycle from scope to customer release; and a
minimum of 10 years experience in the software development industry.
Additionally, the selected candidate will have: experience with Windows and
UNIX environments; at least 6 years of relational database experienceand
different database platforms (MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2); 6+ years experience
with data modeling and architecture design tools (e.g. Erwin, TOAD, etc.); 6+
years distributed systems experience; 5+ years data warehouse experience; 5+
years OLTP and OLAP data architectures; 4+ years architecting data solutions in
Java & J2EE environment; 4+ years architecting data solutions in a .Net/COM or
C/C++ environment; experience in legacy interfaces and processing; 6+ years
Object Oriented Analysis, Design, Programming; 4+ years architecting data
solutions in web application environments; and familiarity with web services
and tools (IDEs, Web Servers, Application Servers, messaging, XML, Soap);
middleware experience; various types of messaging; and rules/workflow engines.
Excellent communications skills are required. Local candidates are preferred.
