Description: Aerotek is working with a client in Baltimore, MD looking for a Project Designer. This company is a mid-size firm and specializes in Mixed-Use, Senior-Living, Retail and Office Facilities. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: - At a minimum, requires B.A./B.S. Degree (4-Year Degree) in Architecture. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: - Generally requires minimum of 6 years of Architectural or related experience. RESPONSIBILITY/MINIMUM EXPECTATIONS: - Responsible for administering all phases of project through construction. - Assists with the administrative processes of the project with project participants. - Assists with budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, specification, and construction drawings on a given project. - Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and maturity in architectural design problem solving, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing project, and developing standards and guides for diverse architectural activities. - Plans, directs, and supervises architectural aspects of reports, design, and/or construction documents. - Supervision received is mainly administrative with assignments based on broad, general objectives and limits. CONTINUING EDUCATION - Requires attending continuing education programs annually, equivalent to a minimum 15 AIA Learning Units. - Requires attendance at in-house learning opportunities. REPORTING: - Reports to the Principal-in-Charge and/or Studio Manager. For specific projects, position reports to the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager or Project Architect for project direction.
