This position will support an organization wide project that is identifying a new technology approach focusing on a web-based Service Oriented Architecture that will allow our organization to develop an integrated solution providing exceptional and consistent customer experiences across all products and channels. Candidate will be part of a large learning organization and participate in an initiative chartered to fundamentally redesign a business. This position represents a key leadership role in the development of a large, complex, and very visible strategic project. This function also has the significant challenge of coordinating and working with a large staff of technicians and business partners. Key responsibilities are: * Manage large scale efforts that will cross multiple functional areas. * Interface with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. * Participate in the definition of scope and objectives. * Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. * Conduct project meetings and track and analyze project status. * Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables. * Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables. * Provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team. * Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions to problems. * Provide all required status updates to the project team, users, and various levels of management as appropriate. * Manage team issues and risks in a proactive way, work with the project team to identify mitigation strategies and manage those strategies to completion.

Specifications / Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree and at least 8-10 years of experience in a consumer financial services company. Other qualifications: * 7+ years of project management experience in a technical environment. * Experience in managing new process development and implementation. * Excellent organization skills, demonstrated sense of responsibility and results orientation. * Excellent communication skills * Relationship builder and team player. * Strong business and analytical skills, as is the demonstrated ability to lead multiple project teams in a high volume, high pressure environment. * Project Management Professional certification preferred. * Experience with SDLC methodologies as well as structured systems design and analysis.
