Description: Within their line of business (LOB), the Practice Manager will take a lead role in promoting the technical direction, establishing technical credibility, assist with technical pre-sales support, and oversee the implementation of solutions and products. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, he/she will manage engineers in his/her assigned line, meet targeted quarterly quotas, and will be expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

What is the TechLogic Practice?
TechLogic is a combination of two distinct offerings:
1) Managed Services
a. Monitoring & Alerting
b. Remote Remediation
c. On-Site Support
2) Staff Augmentation
a. Part-time Staff Augmentation
b. Full-time Staff Augmentation

As a Managed Services Provider, will provide delivery and management of network-based services to its customers.

These service offerings will include, but are not limited to, VPNs, managed firewalls and monitoring/reporting of network servers. Most of these services can be performed from outside a company’s internal network with emphasis on integration and certification of internet security for applications and content.

Promotion of the line of business:

Develop scalable network designs, solutions, policies, and recommendations. Demonstrate creative thinking in providing IT solutions for complex environments and IT enhancement initiatives. Ensure that solutions implemented are those with measurable ROI to the business.

Generate targeted VAR at a level required by the strategic business plan.

Interface with other members of the Engineering organization to maintain standards, best practices and operating procedures. Provide information as appropriate to various departments within the Company.

Develop methodology to support the design and execution of the solution.

Provide technical guidance and explanation of Our’ technical solutions and products to both internal and external customers – make recommendations and evaluations on vendor offerings;

Recognize add-on business opportunities and escalate them to the Director of Sales/ Account Executive.


Pre-Sales:

Strategically plan and execute the delivery of products/services that exceed customer’s expectations. Participate in the pricing process.

Assist the Sales and Marketing team in responding to RFPs and pricing of quotes as needed; participate in weekly sales meetings when required;

Serve as primary point of contact for all technical issues related to pre-sales opportunities; Research and develop prototypes for technical solutions to customer problems;


Implementation:

Manage the day-to-day operations and supervise engineers in the assigned line of business.

Manage the budget and infrastructure within assigned business unit. Coordinate workflow and quality/timely deliverables for engineering team. Manage engagement risk.

Work closely with customers to resolve sensitive issues. Ensure that the quality of work is top notch, professional and meets the needs of the customer.

Other:

Provide team building, career coaching and mentoring to staff. Assess the strengths and weaknesses of each team member, recommend and oversee training, and manage talent flow;

Determine educational and training needs of engineering staff in order to maintain and enhance company’s ability to maintain and support various technologies and industry certifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

10 years experience in IT services industry. Must possess a combination of experience in consulting sales/delivery, and project management.

Must have previous success in overseeing the creation of a services strategy in an on site and/or outsourced environment and the ability to coordinate extensive planning and delivery processes.

Demonstrated ability to work with multiple groups and practices, promoting cooperation among diverse practices and building strong relationships.
Demonstrated experience actively and effectively leading a team.
Must be entrepreneurial, with a demonstrated ability to meet targeted quotas and achieve established goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment;

Strong technical problem solving skills; ability to establish credibility with internal and external customers immediately;

Excellent presentation skills are mandatory, combined with very strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to develop a good rapport with customers and direct reports;

Good driving record, with the ability to travel as needed.
