Description: Training Manager Requisition ID 2509 Full/Part Time Full Time Location Owings Mills, MD Description Primary Purpose of the Position: The Training Manager primarily is responsible for the sales and service project management, analysis, design, delivery, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing improvement of development programs provided to the to senior-level management audiences. This position also is responsible for partnering with clients to implement higher-level, complex team and organizational effectiveness initiatives focused on delivering measurable business results that support the acquisition, retention, and development our associates. The Training Manager is an expert in the sales and service field and serves as a lead resource to the Corporate Training and Development Team with respect to the skills taught in his/her programs. Principal Responsibilities: 1.Manages the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of sales and service training curricula (e.g. consultative sales programs, strategic selling, and negotiation skills. Designs curriculum to meet the need of sales profession skills for Executives, managers, and representatives that are in alignment with T. Rowe Price competencies. In addition, manages ongoing needs assessment processes for sales and service professionals firm-wide (both U.S. and International) and acts as a coach to participants in those programs. Conducts Level 1-3 evaluation to measure the behavioral-impact of training for targeted programs. 2.Client Service and Discovery - responds in a proactive manner to requests for development and delivery of sales, service, and management development training programs, team interventions, individual assessments and/or organizational effectiveness solutions. Provides consultative support and makes recommendations to CTD/OD Management regarding the prioritization and implementation of potential business solutions. Follows-up with clients to agree upon the manner in which needs will be met. Implements on plan of action. 3.Manages program roll-out to include development and implementation of a marketing and communication plan. Works closely with Sales and Service clients, HR partners, and training coordinators etc. to ensure they have the required information to support the course enrollment process. Creates and oversees participant communications. Creates and approves final design and copy for all facilitator and participant materials. 4.Follow-up and Adoption - Creates follow-up action plans that reinforce the transfer of management skills trained in the classroom back into the daily work environment. Develops plans to implement higher-level follow-up and coaching for key training programs and participants. Manages the implementation of these follow-up and evaluation plans with participants and participants managers 5.Partners with all members of the CTD/OD team, HR Generalists and internal training groups to uncover and meet their departments non-technical training and development needs (e.g. interpersonal, sales, customer service, leadership, and management). Creates a collaborative environment by supporting the efforts of others. Qualifications: .5 to 7 years sales and customer service training experience required. .Superior project management capability, including the ability to manage others who are acting in project management roles .Sales management experience with a working knowledge of strategic and consultative selling processes highly preferred. .Ability to develop and execute a sales and service strategy to meet the needs of U.S. and International business units .Excellent facilitation and platform training skills .Experience in instructional design of sales, service, and interpersonal skills training programs .Experience in successfully negotiating and managing vendor relationships. .Executive presence, poise, persuasiveness, and the appropriate confidence to earn credibility with senior management, while also possessing the ability to earn the trust and confidence of associates at all organizational levels. .Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) .Masters degree in human resources or organization development preferred .Prior human resource generalist experience preferred .Financial services industry experience preferred .Operations and/or corporate level business experience preferred .Demonstrated ability to develop learning objectives to meet business goals preferred .Certifications in nationally recognized Sales and Service programs (e.g Miller Heiman) , MBTI Qualified, Certified Performance Improvement Technologist preferred
