Description: COMPANY OVERVIEW Our client is a Fortune 100 Healthcare Provider who has asked us to identify a Financial Management professional to support their Billing and Collections effort here in the DC Metro region. This position will oversee a department of 50 with four Direct Reports. They will be working in a new office space environment with a team of top-notch professionals. The salary range is flexible based upon relevant experience and their benefits package is outstanding.

PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES (PFS) MANAGER (EXCLUSIVE!!)

Purpose: The PFS Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing all end-to-end processes in the PFS Department and ensuring proper integration with all upstream, revenue cycle processes. These processes also include the billing of all member and non-member self-pay balances; the collection of these balances; and the application of these payments to the Regional patient accounting system.

Accountabilities: (List of primary responsibilities, not activities, in their order of importance) 1. Directly manages all PFS Supervisors and indirectly manages all PFS staff (approximately 50 staff). 2. Maintains all departmental policies and procedures, and develops new policies and procedures as necessary. 3. Ensures that all PFS Department employees have access to and understand the relevant policies and procedures. Works with PFS Supervisors to reach all performance metric targets. 4. Oversees compliance with departmental production standards of quantity and quality as set forth by the PFS Director. 5. Is responsible for ensuring that the departments operations and business practices are conducted in a manner that is compliant with regulatory requirements for all applicable jurisdictions. 6. Remains current with changes and best practices in the applicable subject-matter required to effectively manage the department. 7. Develops and maintains a competent, professional staff: - Manages performance of staff by providing feedback and developing and implementing development/corrective action plans. - Develops effective methods of selecting and retaining staff. - Develops comprehensive departmental goals - Provides staff with effective leadership. - Develops a team environment encouraging staff to be innovative, loyal, and creative in their work and problem resolution. Encourages staff to generate ideas and solutions in decision making and problem areas. 8. Ensures employees interacting with members are conducting themselves in a courteous and professional manner. 9. Ensures that all PFS Supervisors follow the employee time collection process, including the KRONOS automated time and attendance systems for a designated Region. 10. Assists in special projects and performs additional duties as assigned. 11. Is responsible to ensure that the PFS Department is achieving or has a plan to achieve all local and national metrics, and SOX and other compliance requirements

Minimum Requirement - Relevant Years of Experience: - Ten years of healthcare provider billing and collections experience with a demonstrated knowledge of health insurance claims processing; or ten years of health insurance claims processing experience with a demonstrated knowledge of provider billing and collections operations required. - Six years of supervisory/management experience required. - Working knowledge of workers compensation/subrogation laws and coordination of benefits and insurance primacy determination rules required - Working knowledge of Medicare regulations and guidelines required. - Working knowledge of accounting principles, especially as related to accounts receivables required. - Skill and experience in business process redesign, and change management required. - Proficiency in the use of basic software and computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail and Internet navigation) required. - Demonstrated knowledge of collections regulations and general familiarity with health insurance laws and regulations required. - Experience with Epic Resolute and KRONOS systems preferred. - Working knowledge of ASO/Self Funding product administration preferred

Minimum Requirement - Education and/or Classes: - Bachelors Degree required. - Masters Degree in Business or Healthcare (preferred)

Compensation: - Annual salary between $90,000 and $100,000 - Not bonus eligible by salary grade, but could negotiate with evidence that a bonus is part of their current compensation package and not off-set by other company benefits
