Description: PIT Engineer II: 4-6yrs engineering experience in IT enviornment; /P
P*****IMPORTANT***** This positon will work Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 6:00am to 6:30pm at the Urbana Data Center./P
PExperience performing production support of Microsoft Server Operating systems, Windows 2000 and 2003 in a complex envioronment. Experience with VMWare ESX server 3.X in a complex envioronment. BRKnowledge of appropriate business functional areas; Experience with implementation methodologies. Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems. Recommend approaches for capacity management. Test and implement infrastructure enhancements. Execute approved changes and report progress. Regularly provide information on the server configuration, security settings and performance levels. Consult with customer to gather requirements and develop system configuration. Coordinate implementation of systems based on customer requirements. Maintain meticulous cable management in server cabinets. Provide service to demanding, expert users and developers. BRExperience supporting systems in an enterprise class data center with - thorough change control process. BRMicrosoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) preferred. Solid understanding DNS, WINS, and TCP/IP and networking in general. BRMinimum four years experience supporting HP server hardware. Must be familiar with server hardware and software support, including RAID configurations. BRMicrosoft Internet Information Server and SQL Server experience preferred. Experience with scripting to deploy software a plus. Minimum three-year experience with enterprise monitoring systems. Working experience with knowledge of Citrix server. monitoring. Knowledge of network architecture and troubleshooting. BRWillingness to work a modified work week; including nights, weekends or holiday work. BRExcellent communication skills. Technical writing experience a plus. /P
