Skills:

15 years experience in the design of web fed printing equipment for the
business forms, direct mail, newspaper, label, folding carton,
packaging or commercial industries.
Knowledge of the printing process (sheet fed and web both conventional
and digital), die cutting, laminating, folding, cutting, collating,
binding, packaging, material handling etc.
Training and experience with continuous improvement techniques
including Lean Manufacturing, SMED/Quick Changeover, Poka-Yoke,
Benchmarking, 5 S's, and other similar improvement techniques.
Knowledge of electronic printing and integration with conventional
printing.
Knowledge of time study methods.
Experience designing as many of the following as possible offset
printing (wet, dry and waterless) flexo printing (direct and indirect),
infeed tension control, numbering (mechanical and digital), punching,
perforating, sheeting, rewinding and other ancillary equipment.
Strong knowledge of documentation requirements, configuration control,
quality requirements for raw materials, etc.
Some electrical and or programming knowledge desirable.
Ability to work with a team of individuals to achieve Continuous
Improvement.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word and business system software.
Must be able to work independently, with little supervision, and
occasionally lead project teams
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and knowledge of 3d solid modeling
desirable.
