~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Mechanical engineer for large institutional projects.
Coordinates the work of the mechanical design team through the
schematic design development and contract document phase of a
project. Establishes meetings and participates in reviews with
various governing agencies for code compliance. Is responsible
to coordinate workload to complete the document on schedule.
Conducts work sessions at project site in conjunction with
Project Manager and other disciplines. Reviews mechanical
documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
Writes/edits mechanical specifications, selects equipment,
mechanical systems and devices. Coordinates and assists, with
affected disciplines, with any addendum, requests for
information, change proposal requests and change orders and is
responsible to incorporate agreed upon changes into the project
documents. Provides, on an as needed basis, construction
contract administration. May conduct QA/QC on the work of other
Mechanical Project Engineers, Mechanical Project Coordinators or
Mechanical Technicians.

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Masters degree in
Architectural Engineering – Mechanical emphasis.
Must possess professional registration.
8+ years experience in mechanical system design of commercial or
institutional buildings.
Healthcare facilities experience preferred.
Computer experience (MS Office, Trane Trace or similar software,
manufacturer selection software).
