Description: Requisition Number : PHA10207 Job Title : Sr. Manager, Medical Information Services, Interest Category : Medical Affairs Interest : Medical Information Department : Drug Safety State : New Jersey City : Bridgewater Job Description : - The Manager/Sr. Manager works within the Oncology Therapeutic area in Medical Information Services, which is responsible for responding to unsolicited requests for information on sanofi-aventis Oncology products from Healthcare Professionals, Consumers, and Internal associates utilizing accurate, complete, and fair balanced evidence based information. The Manager/Sr. Manager is also responsible for a particular functional aspect of Medical Information Services, such as updating sales training slides and the writing guidelines, training on SOPs and literature searching, Fellowship coordination, JV activities, CE activities, etc. - The Manager/Sr. Manager provides tactical implementation of strategic plans within the Oncology Therapeutic area of MIS and manages the written dissemination of product information correspondence within the Oncology Therapeutic area to both external customers (healthcare professionals, consumers) and internal customers (sales representatives, medical liaisons, legal, etc) and ensures that all activities are conducted within an optimal regulatory framework. - The Manager/Sr. Manager facilitates the free flow of accurate and well-balanced evidence based medical information utilizing state of the art knowledge management processes and systems relative to the response of unsolicited requests for technical and scientific information in the Oncology Therapeutic area. - The Manager/Sr. Manager participates in research and literature evaluation and preparation of standard documents related to the Oncology Therapeutic area for use in addressing Medical Inquiries, Compendia requests, and Formulary or Dossier submissions and develops and maintains ongoing relationships with other Medical Affairs departments as well as Marketing, Sales Training, Regulatory, Global, etc. - The Manager/Sr. Manager also assists the Oncology Therapeutic Head as necessary in managing reports and providing opportunity for growth and development and in coordinating activities within the Therapeutic area related to convention support, sales training, product training, etc. Requirements : Educational requirements: - Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MS) in a health care related field. Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of related technical experience in a Medical Information department within the pharmaceutical industry.
