Description: Job Title IT Field Services Administrator Division Stryker Orthopaedics Location (Country - State) United States - New Jersey City or Sales Region Mahwah Business Function Information Systems/Technology Shift 1st Education and/or Special Training EDUCATION: * Bachelors Degree in business, computer science, or other relevant technical discipline OR 5+ years directly relevant work experience Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: * Evaluate and implement all technical initiatives for U.S. field IT-related projects; plan and execute these projects based on the needs of the field customers. Continuously monitor and perform hands-on troubleshooting of field phone, cabling, networking, and other IT systems. Recognize routine and complex problems, then isolate, resolve and follow up on to determine customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Act as primary technical resource for U.S. field IT projects and events that have potential impact/risk to the business * Oversee, monitor and support the daily IT infrastructure of the field offices * Utilize technological understanding and experience to negotiate contracts and pricing agreements * Plan, test and implement IT Infrastructure equipment, including VoIP telecommunications and networking equipment * Research and provide insight into best practices on configuration of field equipment and solutions; evaluate new systems and aid in selection/rejection process based upon networking requirements and business standards * Implement and monitor technology equipment across field offices to ensure operational efficiency to standard of 99.999% * Continually review and improve technological processes and procedures, both within a single location and across multiple locations; constantly seek efficiencies in IT processes * Build and maintain relationships with vendors and carriers in order to explore/improve current and future technology and effectively negotiate contracts * Consistently apply standards and appropriately interpret IT policy * Document hardware and software set-up instructions and oversee all aspects of the hardware/software installation, testing, monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, upgrade and support Qualifications/Work Experience WORK EXPERIENCE: * 3-5 years experience in enterprise IT and/or technical communications * 1+ year IT experience in a role providing service/support to remote locations * Demonstrated ability to participate in technology-based projects and initiatives * Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills * Demonstrated technical ability in Avaya VoIP phone systems, Cisco Network equipment, Windows Desktops, and Voice/Data cabling * Demonstrated effective verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience * Demonstrated ability to working independently and respond effectively to simultaneous/competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Percent Travel Required 60% Requisition ID 7768BR
