Description: This is more of a system monitoring role vs. managing desktop functions. Act a technical project manager for projects such as the implementation of Vista in all their offices. This role is not an architect/planner position. This person would be responsible for overseeing the implementation of projects
Salary:-100K+ Bonus
Imperative Skills: AD(Active Directory), Managing 30+ servers (Windows NT, 2000/2003)
Responsibilities:
- Perform as a project technical lead on numerous Information Technology (IT) infrastructure projects leveraging Microsoft technologies
- Identify areas of improvement in the server and client arena and implement enhancements when approved
- Troubleshoot, install, configure and optimize Enterprise server operating systems (NT, 2000 Server, 2000 Advanced Server, 2003 Web, 2003 application and 2003 Enterprise)
- Analyze information and respond with corrective action recommendations for system monitoring technologies
- Develop and maintain programs, scripts, and procedures for the automation of system administration tasks
- Plan, lead, and implement large and small scale projects across the enterprise
- Design, configure and operate Microsoft Active Directory in a large, complex organization
Qualifications:
- Five years of enterprise directory implementation and directory services administration, including Active Directory, as well as three years of Enterprise systems implementation and administration (Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server)
- Five years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Windows 2000/2003 servers, including five years of IT Infrastructure Project Management experience with a strong understanding of LDAP and Microsoft’s Active Directory
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field from an accredited college/university. They will consider someone who isn’t degreed but they have to be perfect for the role in order to justify rewriting the specs
- Strong understanding of DNS (both Microsoft Active Directory Integrated DNS and BIND implementations) and experience with configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft DNS is required
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting DHCP and WINS, as well as strong experience with LDAP query language and tools (LDP, LDIFDE, CSVDE)
- Proficiency with TCP/IP, NetBios, NTP, SSL, IIS, BMC Patrol, MOM 2005, NetBackup and experience creating Windows 2003 logon scripts (Vbscript) and Desktop Operation Systems (XP, Vista)
- Able to work overtime as needed and serve on-call rotation to meet business needs
- Experience in capacity planning, system monitoring, testing and upgrades, bug
