* Apply for this jobonline More information about this job: Overview: This position is responsible for the coordination, preparation and review of all financial related SEC (10-K, 10-Q, etc.) and Government reporting (Census) filings. Additionally, this position is responsible for the analysis and review of new accounting pronouncements.
Responsibilities: * Preparation and review of 10-K and 10-Q filings. This includes ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements and coordination with external auditors. * Analyze and review new accounting pronouncements. Evaluate the impact to the Company and present results to management. * Prepare and maintain the Company's accounting policy documentation. * Development of department staff. This includes ensuring that the Performance Management Process ("PMP") is being carried out effectively and establishing and continuously evaluating the departments succession plan. * Oversee the Company's compliance with Census Reporting. * Coordinate and oversee special projects as requested by management.
Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting; 6 or more years of public and/or private accounting; * Must be a Certified Public Accountant. * Must possess strong knowledge of SEC rules and regulations and U.S. accounting principles (U.S. GAAP). * Excellent oral and written and communication skills.
