An overall understanding of quality client service, a proven track record of working in multifunctional teams and across multiple geographies, strong business acumen and the instinct to think and act globally are essential for advancement within Deloitte Services LP. a Applicants or employees with disabilities must be offered any reasonable accommodations, which are necessary for them to be able to perform the essential functions of a position. a Job Overview: This position is a part of the functional financial analysis organization with responsibilities assigned to it in support of the Consulting Northeast Region.a This includes financial reporting and review, including the application of independent decision making and discretion related to data/report accuracy/quality and steps needed for analysis completion.a a Job Responsibilities: .aaaaaa Client Service - Assists in assessing and addressing the needs of the client and adapting processes, particularly as it relates to the financial reporting process.a Provides a value-added service by contributing financial and operational insight and implementing solutions to client.a .aaaaaa Financial Reporting and Analysis- Reports, analyzes and interprets periodic financial data to functional management accurately and on a timely basis.a Provides commentary and insights on performance against plan and prior year with emphasis on implementing procedural controls to achieve optimal performance. .aaaaaa Financial Planning and Forecasting - Prepares the fiscal yearly plan for assigned function by analyzing historical data in conjunction with future growth plans and desired firm metrics.a Prepares periodic forecasts for national and functional management.a .aaaaaa Engagement Management - Monitors engagements to ensure accurate accounting of revenue and maximum profitability throughout the engagement including pricing model review.a Works with partners and engagement management leaders to ensure process is properly reported.a .aaaaaa AR Management - Monitors both unbilled and billed receivables to ensure timely billing and collections, as well as the opening and closing of engagements.a Provides consultation to partners in AR process and relates the financial impact thereof. .aaaaaa Teaming - Coaches others in the firm in interpreting financial data. Works closely with other Shared Services channels and client service personnel.a Helps manage efforts of India Region 10 analyst team members. .aaaaa Accounting Policies - Ensures that the firms accounting policies and practices (and GAAP) are followed. .aaaaa College degree with emphasis in finance and/or accounting is required, .aaaaa 4 - 6 years related experience .aaaaa Advanced computer application skills in Microsoft Excel and Word a a Relevant Business & Technical Skills a .aaaaa A CPA and/or MBA are preferred .aaaaa Strong analytical, project management and organizational skills .aaaaa Working knowledge of SAP and Essbase .aaaaa Strong communication skills .aaaaa Ability to work and lead in a team environment is critical .aaaaa Knowledge of the firms systems is a plus. a Required Location a New York, Boston, Stamford, Philadelphia or Parsippany . a Required Location a Depending on proximity to New York City, some overnight travel may be needed.
