Labeling, receiving, and processing samples to their respective departments for analysis.
Responsibilities: Drawing blood on adults and children in an expertise and timely fashion. Receiving and labeling specimens properly and distributing bloods to designated departments. Running CPR reports 2-3 times a shift accounting for missing specimens. Preparation of 24-hour urine jugs, and total volume. Proper knowledge of reference testing submission and sample requirements. Understanding outpatient prescriptions. Read scripts and draw blood 6 days a week for routine draws and cover STATs.
Qualifications: High School education. Professional certification with National Phlebotomy Association or equivalent. Phlebotomy clinical internship, or sufficient previous experience.1p-9:30p e/o WEEKEND
