The Hartfords Rockaway, NJ Office, which reports into the Northeast Commercial Auto and Liability Claim Center, is seeking a Litigation Plus Claim Consultant to work in Rockaway. WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY? At the Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay competitive base salaries and reward performance. WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION? The Claim Consultant is responsible for handling the most complex Lit Plus claims for our Commercial CA&L Center. Responsibilities include planning, recommending, reserving, and executing the investigation, valuation, disposition, and settlement of claims. Claim settlement will be expected to proceed in a manner consistent with corporate claim settlement policies/procedures and statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements. The consultant will properly assess the indemnity and expense exposure of claims to achieve a fair, equitable, and timely disposition. The consultant will develop and share knowledge of claim handling expertise. He or she will be expected to demonstrate technical mastery in managing claims in one or more specialized lines of business. WHAT ELSE CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT WORKING IN THIS POSITION?
