Description: Associate Engineer Nuclear (Class of 2009) Location Nuclear - Salem NJ (0015) Job Function University Recruiting No. of Positions 5 Job Description Provide technical expertise in the identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating deficiencies, nuclear safety and design basis issues to ensure plant reliability and availability. Systems engineering positions require monitoring, trending and assessing systems and components to improve reliability. Establish system performance monitoring plans for designated systems. Lead cross-functional teams to manage/resolve system performance issues. Perform system walk downs. Ensure overall System Readiness and compliance with design/license basis. Identify and prioritize corrective actions to ensure system safety, reliability and availability. Design engineering positions require maintaining and updating of plant systems, structures and components design and licensing basis, development of design change packages, technical evaluations, calculations,Programs and 50.59 safety evaluations. Lead cross-functional teams for development and implementation of plant modifications and provide oversight of AEs developing engineering changes. Identify, prioritize, and evaluate corrective actions to ensure design basis integrity, systems and equipment reliability and availability. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet managements expectations for effective internal business controls. REQUIRED: BS Degree in an Engineering discipline. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and safe driving record. Shift work as required depending on assigned system needs and Unit/System Outages. Must meet Nuclears requirements for unescorted site access. DESIRABLE: Previous internship at a nuclear power facility.
