Description: Engr - Sr Engineer Nuclear - Salem Programs Location Nuclear - Salem NJ (0015) Job Function Service / Operations No. of Positions 1 Job Description The IST and Appendix J Program Manager performs Program oversight and is identified as a single point of contact for the Inservice Testing (IST) and Appendix J Programs for Salem Generating Station. The program oversight consists of the applicable plant program in accordance with 10CFR50.55a, Plant Technical Specifications, NRC Rulemaking, ASME Code Cases, NRC Relief Requests, and ASME OM 1, 6 and 10 for IST and implementation of 10CFR50 Option B, Reg Guide 1.163, NEI 94-01 and ANSI 56.8-1994 for Appendix J. Individual will be responsible for providing a continuous interface with NRC, State of NJ, ANA and PSEG NOS on assessments and audits concerning the IST and Appendix J Programs. The IST/Appendix J Program Manager is responsible for a PC computer database Program, to ensure control of the IST and Appendix J Programs many examinations. This responsibility includes the development, maintenance, updating and security of the program. The IST/Appendix J Program Manager is required to work with system teams as necessary to resolve emergent issues and perform program inspections/assessments. The program manager uses engineering principals and technical expertise to provide program management of the Inservice Testing (IST) and Appendix J Programs. Program support includes design basis reviews, engineering calculations, operability assessments, data evaluation, review and trending. The candidate will also manage IST and Appendix J outage activities and interface with various plant departments for successful work execution. As owner of the IST and Appendix J strategic plans, the individual will develop and implement a long-range plan to optimize the IST and Appendix J Programs for the Station. REQUIRED: BS degree in Engineering, effective written and oral communication skills, and a minimum of five years nuclear experience. The successful candidate will also possess strong technical knowledge, competence and analytical skills with the ability to apply engineering judgment to make sound, cost-effective decisions and solve problems. Candidate needs to have an understanding /working knowledge of ASME Codes and NRC regulations concerning IST and Appendix J. The candidate will need to be qualified to perform safety evaluations and engineering evaluations. Ability to obtain/maintain unescorted site access Desired: Previous IST and Appendix J Program development and management and system/design engineering experience, MS Mechanical Engineering,

Must meet requirements for Unescorted Plant Access. "Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet managements expectations for effective internal business controls".
