Description: Manager - Nuclear Security Location Nuclear - Salem NJ (0015) Job Function Service / Operations No. of Positions 1 Job Description The Manager - Nuclear Security is to perform and provide management oversight of each of the Site Security Operations, Security Programs and Access Authorization and Fitness For Duty Program areas. Responsibilities and major job duties include: Regulatory compliance; represent security management at Management Review Committees (MRC), Nuclear Safety Review Boards (NSRB), Management Review Meetings (MRM), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspections and other station leadership meetings; lead the security response for Management Review Committees corrective action program products (i.e., root causes, apparent causes, common causes); oversee and challenge self-assessments and benchmarking reports; preparation of the O&M and Capital budgets; oversee outage support and outage in-processing; response to security contingency events and be the point of contact for NRC inspections. Management of outside security/protective services contract performance. Supervise Security management personnel. Management of NRC and station security performance indicators. Management of security equipment performance. Manage industrial relations and employee relations, including performance management of those associates within Nuclear Security Required: Bachelors degree in related discipline (PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent). Requires 10 years overall experience with minimum of five (5) years security and at least five (5) years of supervisory/management experience. Working knowledge of NRC Security Regulations. Must be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to respond to emergency situations.- Ability to handle sensitive situations and work in a confidential environment. Must meet Nuclears requirements for unescorted site access. DESIRED: Previous budget experience. Established relationships with NRC and other external constituencies. Experience in developing business strategies to improve standardized program performance. "Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet managements expectations for effective internal business controls".
