Description: Nuclear Maintenance Supervisor (Controls - Salem) Location Nuclear - Salem NJ (0015) Job Function Service / Operations No. of Positions 1 Job Description Provide first-line supervision of represented employees (Initial assignment will be in the electrical area but may be assigned to other disciplines, as needed) in accordance with the Company/Union Collective Bargaining Agreement and Work Standards. Provide oversight to the direct repairs of equipment in the plant. Oversee performance of assigned maintenance by trained and qualified personnel using approved procedures, work practices and safety rules. Ensure the control of work /repair/planning and scheduling activities meet station operational needs. Administer personnel activities by conducting fair and effective implementation of the Company/Union Collective Bargaining Agreement and PSEG policies, practices and procedures. Demonstration of leadership qualities in the performance of day-to-day duties. Perform supervisory duties, which include conducting personnel evaluations, hiring, corrective/disciplinary actions and recommendations. REQUIRED: Extensive technical knowledge in the area of controls (electrical/I&C) in a power plant environment. High School Diploma or Equivalent (PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent), with at least 4 years of operating plant experience, including one year of nuclear specific power plant experience. Must meet Nuclears requirements for unescorted plant access. Demonstrated leadership experience in a power plant environment. DESIRED: Related educational degree with strong supervisory experience in the nuclear industry. Strong nuclear operational background including SRO/Cert. "Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet managements expectations for effective internal business controls".
