Description: MST00148 Sr. Analyst, Field Services Work Description: Under general direction, as a top level contributor, independently formulates and defines system project scopes and objectives and devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Assists in the design, testing, debugging and documentation of complex networks, equipment configurations, devices, programs and systems. Independently researches and resolves moderately to highly complex technical problems. Documents standards, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting processes. May act as project manager on one or more projects. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of Specific disciplines. Mentors and trains the Field Services staff in the application of the skills necessary to support POS, PC, Communication and other MST systems. Provides technical guidance and assistance to less experienced Analyst and Technicians. Technical Skills: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Functions as a technical expert to the Field Service staff focusing onDistribution Centersystems and support. 2. Devises and modifies procedures to solve complex technical problems. 3. Prepares detailed specifications, project scopes and objectives, from which systems will be designed, tested and installed. 4. Documents procedures and equipment/network configuration. 5. Provides internal and customer systems training. 6. Acts as a focal point in tracking problems and establishing trends to insure proper operation and support of systems. 7. Participates in project planning. Determines project needs in advance and establishes the appropriate timeline to complete projects on time. 8. Coordinates the implementation/installation phase with the Field Services Staff, vendors and the customer to provide the appropriate level of training, on-site support, equipment deliveries, and scheduling to ensure the success of each project. 9. Keeps the customer and upper management well informed of concerns for completion of projects on a timely basis. Initiates alternatives for more timely, more efficient completion. 10. Required to provide after hours on-site / telephone support as needed. 11. Ability to travel independently within a defined region. 12. Provides support and administration of MST systems, including equipment and network configurations, customization, table and file moves, data integrity and accuracy. 13. Analyzes and monitors systems/network workload and performance and policy adherence making recommendations to resolve problems. 14. Mentors and trains analysts in their area of expertise 15. Provides timely response and resolution to assigned problem tickets. 16. Keeps current on present and future technologies. 17. Willingness to acquire and apply new knowledge and skills necessary to support POS, Communication, PC, RF and other FSG systems.
