Summary: Champion of continuously improving the operations process utilizing tools of six sigma, lean manufacturing, and strong project management skills. Provides support to the plant managers on operational issues that impact overall business performance.



1. Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities.
2. Act as site Lean Manufacturing Specialist.
3. Coordinate trial activity between all functional areas (production, maintenance, quality, materials and planning, etc)
4. Utilize strong project management methods and lead all phases of continuous improvement efforts.
5. Reviews production and operating performance reports, and participate in daily production meetings to ensure that improvement opportunities are identified and prioritized.
6. Liaison with Production Team Leaders to ensure standardization of plant production activities, and that SOP’s are consistent, updated, and relevant.
7. Provides a mechanism so that no changes happen to the process or SWI without
  approval and consensus by Plant Managers.
8. Ensures safety within day to day operations. Include a safety review as part of every project.
9. Provide relief support for Cheese and Whey Plant Managers.
