US - NM - Cognos Software Engineer

Job Type: Contract
Duration:4-6 months

Job description:

* Four or more years of work experience in Business Intelligence area
plus a B.S. in Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics, Software
Engineering, or other science field, or equivalent experience.

* Two or more years of work experience with Cognos Impromptu and Cognos
Power Play development is a must. Experience in ReportNet is a plus.

* Experience in developing KPI, Scorecards, Dashboard type of
applications using Cognos Metrics Manager is an added advantage

* One or more years of work on Cognos Enterprise Server administration,
Upfront, and Access Manager

* Cognos Professional Certification is a plus.

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
*
* Experience in delivering business intelligence solutions (reporting
and analytics) to a business.

* Strong knowledge in traditional and dimensional modeling

* Solid understanding of ad hoc, query-based, and/or OLAP technologies.


* Experience on ETL tools Decision Stream, Informatica, Epiphany,
Applix, or Dynasite is desirable but not required.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
